Lecturer in Spanish
The Stanford Language Center invites applications for a full-time three-year teaching appointment as Lecturer in Spanish beginning September 1, 2023. The position is renewable. Applicants should have experience teaching a broad range of Spanish language courses at the college level and possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish with an excellent command of English; experience teaching Catalan is desirable. Preference is given to candidates familiar with standards-based instruction and ACTFL OPI and WPT principles, with tester/rater certifications in hand or in progress.
The expected base pay range for this position is $78,048.00 - $87,390.00
Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, and internal equity.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are an MA in linguistics, applied linguistics, and/or Spanish language and literature, Ph.D. preferable.
