About the Portuguese Language Program
The Portuguese language offers students access to a wide range of cultures and literatures: it is currently the sixth most widely spoken language in the world and the most spoken language south of the equator. Stanford's Language Center offers a comprehensive Portuguese language program and ILAC faculty members offer courses each quarter on Lusophone literature and cultures.
